Carpel Tunnel

Whether you work at a desk, operate machinery or are pregnant, carpal tunnel syndrome can drastically affect your quality of life and productivity. Do NOT ignore this problem. Whenever there is abnormal blood flow or nerve pressure, you want to take it seriously.

We have found that the majority of people that have carpal tunnel syndrome have misalignments in the bones that make up the carpal tunnel. This is where blood vessels and nerves pass through the wrist and supply the hands and fingers. Just like misalignments of the spine, misalignments in your hands can cause significant issues over time.

Double Crush Syndrome

There are many locations where nerves can get entrapped. Your brain sends messages down the spinal cord, out the spine, through the shoulders, elbows and wrists that innervate the hands. At each location, there can be misalignments that cause pressure on those nerves. When there are 2 or more locations of entrapment, the nerve will exponentially be affected. This is why carpal tunnel syndrome can come back after surgery.

It is important to receive a thorough examination prior to treatment. Specific and gentle chiropractic care is an extremely effective approach, especially when all areas of entrapment are examined and corrected if necessary.

*Important reminder – There are multiple nerves that can cause numbness and tingling into the arms, wrists and hands. This is why we do a thorough examination to determine which nerve is involved and where the damage is coming from. We are not interested in covering up the symptom, we are looking for true correction so the problem doesn’t come back.
